Sweet, mild, crunchy and weird looking: a War of the Worlds looking vegetable. Kohlrabi, our only "stem crop," is a distant relative of cabbage. Its round stem is extraordinarily sweet and crunchy, and can be eaten raw or cooked. Leaves are also edible.
Remove leaves and store separately. Store in the coldest part of the fridge in an airtight container or bag. Leaves will keep for up to 2 weeks, while the stems can last up to 4 months, depending on the variety.
